The perfect getaway for a holiday or longer term executive stay, the Beach House is a comfortable beautifully appointed beach house. There is a telephone for local calls and internet access is available.  Every room in the house is individually air-conditioned with a whisper quiet split system.

The house sleeps up to eight people in 4 bedrooms. There are 5 very comfortable beds, 1 King, 2 Queens, and 2 Singles in the spare bedroom. You know how important it is to have a good night’s rest, particularly when you are on holidays. Therefore we chose first quality innerspring mattresses which we found very comfortable ourselves. Fresh linen and blankets are provided and beds are made prior to your arrival.

Old Tannum is where some 50 years ago folk built their Beach Shacks for weekends and holidays. As the village grew and became prosperous, these shacks were modernised and extended. The close proximity to shops and amenities, to the Millennium Esplanade, to the Surf Life Savers Club and to beaches and Wild Cattle Creek has made Old Tannum one of the most sought-after locations in the area.

Tannum Sands Beach House is one of the original beach shacks that has been beautifully renovated into a comfortable, spacious, modern beach house. It offers open-plan living and is fully air-conditioned. The large verandah looking out over the ocean has a NE aspect with plenty of shade and sea breezes. The screened windows open wide to take full advantage of the cool air and panoramic scenery. Quality furniture and modern appliances make the living very relaxed and easy.

We loved our stay at the beach house, it was a wonderful break for us. My parents in law absolutely loved the house and have taken pictures of the view from the deck back to Johannesburg to brag.

Lyn and Ron September 09
Thank you for your email. We did have a lovely time in Tannum Sands even though we came home early. The Beach House was set up beautifully and was very comfortable.  Thank you for allowing us to also take our dog.

It was so nice to stay in a house that feels like home. We felt comfortable from the moment we moved in to the time we unfortunately had to leave. Your neighbour across the road was a nice gentlemen acording to my husband and daughter. You have thought of everything and we only had to buy our groceries.  The gift basket was such a personal touch and great welcome to your home. I hope that we may be able to stay in your home again soon.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Beach House. The house was very comfortable and well equipped and our dog enjoyed the flat grassy yard to chase her ball in. Tannum Sands also was lovely, with great amenities for visitors. I think we'll need to stay longer next time!

Baden & Sheryl,  February 09
Thanks, the house was just the best and everything we needed for a great weekend for us and our dog. It was a great base for our time in Tannum sand. Cheers

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Tannum Sands. We had a relaxing and happy holiday exploring many things along the coast as well as fishing on Lake Awoonga. It was with sadness that we woke on Saturday to find our stay was over, but then the realisation that we could come again later in the year made it a lot better.

Pat and Duncan, Sep 08
Lovely home packed with all the necessities of life. Fantastic verandah with ocean views. We walked, swam, beachcombed, ate, drank, and had a wonderful time. We appreciated the thoughtful touches e.g. laundry detergent, beach towels. We will recommend your beautiful holiday home to our friends and families. Thanks for everything.

Second time we have stayed, and twice as much we have enjoyed the warm comforts of the Tannum Beach house, both the Labradors and myself and Nicole had a great long weekend at the house, and soaked up all the glorious views from the balcony and beach. Thanks again Frits and Heather for exceeding our expectations and we look forward to returning for our 3rd trip soon.

Mark and Yvonne, July 08

You really have gone to great lenghts to make anyone who visits the beach house stay comfortable. We couldn't fault you on anything. Our compliments again and we would definitely recommend you to any friends and family who may travel up that way in the future. Thanks again for a pleasant stay.

Superbly equipped accommodation. Very neat, clean and hospitable - surpasses all other holiday accommodation we have ever vacationed in. Really worth our while and money! The wine and other welcoming gifts are appreciated!

We have had such a wonderful time celebrating our wedding this week and this house has played quite a significant role in helping with our experience!  We really felt that we were spoilt with the views from the balcony, the basket of goodies and of course the lovely surprise in the fridge!  The house provides the recipe for a great and relaxing holiday!  Thank you!

Steve, Nicole, Tayne and Bear, April 08
Thank you so much for a great weekend in Tannum Sands. The house was amazing and really the pictures on the net where not as good as the impressions it gave us on arrival – we were more impressed!
Our two Labradors, Bear and Tayne had a blast at the beach and your back yard was perfect for their Anzac weekend getaway. The water bowls you provided were very convenient too.
We had a great night’s sleep on the bed, and it was great to wake up to the sun rising on the balcony looking over the ocean. We will definitely be back and look forward to staying longer next time. Thanks again!

Silke, April 08
Dear Heather and Frits,
Thank you very much for a wonderful week! Tintin and us all enjoyed it!
Thanks and kind regards.

Cristen, April 2008
We had a wonderful holiday! The house was fantastic, thanks very much. The beds were so comfortable and it made life so much easier with such complete kitchen, barbecue and laundry facilities. And even toys, tables and chairs for the kids – it is the perfect beach house. The weather was great last week and we were at the beach/playground every day, the children had a terrific time. Thanks again for providing such a lovely house, we can see you have put quite a bit of effort in for your guests

Our stay at Tannum was only short but made all the more enjoyable by the wonderful house we shared with our friends. Clean and roomy and very well equipped, our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer. Air conditioning in every room ensured comfort and the beds and pillows were the best we'd slept in away from home.

Steve- February 2008
We had a great stay. The house had really everything we could expect, great beds, spotlessly clean. Very spacious and comfortable inside with AC everywhere. A very high standard throughout, it is just beautiful. We enjoyed the BBQ on the verandah, ocean views and easy walk to the beach.
We were sorry that we could only stay for such a short time, and will definately book again but for much longer next time!

Mark- January 2008
Recently my wife and I, and our two sons, and our dog visited the Tannum Sands Beach Holiday House.
On arrival there was a welcome pack with coffee, tea and other goodies, as well as a cold bottle of wine, and chilled water, very much appreciated after a long drive.
The pictures don't really do this property justice, the main bedroom is huge, and the other bedrooms are all well appointed. There is a lounge with a large television, dvd player and stereo, and comfortable lounges. There is also a seperate rumpus room with another TV for the children, great idea.
The kitchen has every appliance you will need, as well as items such as glad wrap, alfoil, freezer bags, and all of the other necessities you need when on holidays.
The dwelling is in a very good state of repair, and we loved sitting on the balcony with views to the sea, whilst having a BBQ.
If you have a dog, the rear yard, and front balcony are both secure, and our dog loved his stay.
I highly recommend a stay at this property, and we will certainly return.

Jimmy, January 08
Stayed at the house for week. The place was well furnished, cozy and comfortable and well- equipped right down to the little things that people generally forget to carry on holidays. Frits and Heather were warm and friendly and took good care of our needs. "

Elizabeth, December 07
Tannum Sands Beach Holiday House has the beach house feel and all the facilities and the little luxuries to make our stay very comfortable. It has a good size kitchen, a brand new 4 burner barbecue, and a hughe assortment of ustensils including a coffee perculator.
We cannot think of a better place to holiday with our dogs. Our 2 Golden Retrievers "Jessie" & "Heidi" had a wonderful time sitting out with us on the front deck enjoying the sea views and walking down the beach in the morning and late afternoon."

Linda, December 07
The house was nice, we liked the location and it  had everything we needed, it was clean and tidy. The children really liked the toys and the little touches. We enjoyed our stay.
